Not only does its university attract students from all over Spain, but also students from all over the world, who come to study Spanish language and culture there. This historic city is home to approximately 150,000 residents. The University of Salamanca, founded in the 13th century, stands as the oldest university in Spain and one of the oldest in all of Europe, currently catering to a student body of over 28,000 individuals.
