Scholarships

Scholarships are a good way to mitigate the costs of a term abroad. In addition to searching for funding for study abroad and international education programs, you may want to consider searching for funding sources that base awards on such factors as grades, ethnicity, field of study, location of study, volunteer work, and more. You may also want to ask your academic dean's office and major department advisor about possible funding opportunities with which they are familiar. Occasionally there are discretionary funds available at these departments. Other possible sources may exist within local community organizations.
