Noha Emara’s current research includes explorations of the impact of governance and economic freedom on economic growth, explorations of development in developing countries, examinations of monetary and financial issues, and papers related predictions and forecasting.

Mariana Spatareanu
Associate Professor, Department of Economics
Mariana Spatareanu’s research interests focus on measuring productivity spillovers from foreign direct investment, as well as investigating factors that affect the flows of foreign direct investment, including the rule of law, labor market regulations, environmental standards and financial markets.

Mark Robson

Mark Robson has mentored dozens of undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. health, agriculture, and environment students from Africa, Europe, South America, and Asia, and has served in an editing capacity on a number of international scientific publications. He has led or contributed to many international agriculture and environment programs, including an agriculture curriculum project at two Liberian universities, and a $32 million USAID grant that aims to expand economic growth in the Philippines through improved collaborative science, technology, and innovative research between the United States and the Philippines—Robson directs Rutgers’ participation in the collaborative project, which focuses on economic development, science and technology investment, and training of young Philippine scientists through faculty exchanges, country visits, master’s programs, mentorship programs, and scholarships.
