In 2013, David Dante Troutt founded the Center on Law in Metropolitan Equity to provide a research resource for students and the public interested in the growing challenges of municipalities and families trying to sustain middle-class outcomes amid growing fiscal constraints and rapid demographic change. A key feature of his writing and teaching about the intersections of race, class and place concerns identifying blind spots in conventional analyses of spatially determined opportunity through structuralist and interdisciplinary analysis.
Sean Mitchell

Sean Mitchell is a cultural anthropologist whose ethnographically-based work focuses on the politics of inequality, particularly in Brazil. His work also touches on science and technology studies, race and ethnicity, war and violence, governance and citizenship; social movements, and the politics of expertise.
