Modern Greek studies professor, Dr. Elektra Kostopoulou, an expert in modern Greece and the Middle East who actively works with migrants and refugees affected by the humanitarian crisis in the eastern Mediterranean, is leading a brand new School of Arts and Sciences' seminar (anchored in the Modern Greek Studies Program, 489:390:02), "Refugees and Migrants in the Eastern Mediterranean," designed for students who want to learn and help make a difference. 

The three-credit course isn't limited to Department of Greek Studies students. The class will be comprised of an interdisciplinary group of students who will learn about policy making, global justice themes, and history in an interdisciplinary environment.
