Paris is truly unparalleled. My time there offered me fresh perspectives on life, from engaging in diverse classes with some of the most passionate professors I've ever encountered to connecting with fascinating people from around the world. I also indulged in authentic foods, whether from Paris, Tunisia, or wherever my heart—and Google Maps—led me for that meal. Some of my favorite memories include savoring a doner kebab on the steps of Sacré-Cœur, people-watching in the Luxembourg Gardens with friends, discovering hidden parks and cafés, and sitting on a bridge near Notre Dame with a warm crepe in hand. These moments are etched into my heart forever.
Immersing myself in Parisian culture and language was both a privilege and, at times, a challenge, but I constantly yearn to return. Paris’s beauty lies not only in its historical landmarks but in its rich diversity, with people from all walks of life contributing to its unique charm. Walking through the city is one of the best ways to explore its history, as each street bursts with stories and beauty.
One of my greatest inspirations for going to Paris was my father, who grew up there. Although he emigrated to the United States in his teens, being in Paris felt like continuing a journey he had begun. The program didn’t just meet my expectations—it exceeded them, and for that, I am forever grateful.
