Spend a semester on the beautiful Zhejiang University campus. Map your new running routes around the iconic West Lake nearby. Be inspired by the booming economy of Hangzhou. Share innovative ideas with students and faculty at the leading management school.

Zhejiang University (ZJU) in Hangzhou, China, is among the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. Founded in 1897, ZJU is a member of China’s prestigious C9 league, with 37 Colleges and Schools and 54,641 students (7,074 international students). The School of Management (SOM-ZJU) is known for encouraging innovative entrepreneurship and for training business thinkers. The international conferences and symposium organized by SOM regularly attract scholars and experts all over the world. SOM has been awarded multiple research funding by the National Natural Science Foundation of China every year. SOM is one of only a handful of business schools worldwide that are triple-accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB.

Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province, and less than a 2-hour train ride to Shanghai. It is known for its scenic beauty, and many historical and cultural sites. Hangzhou has always been an important city to silk industries as well as tea plantation. In the most recently years, the city is rapidly becoming an economic and technological center and attracts companies such as Nokia, Alibaba Group, and Alipay.

Academics

Zhejiang University's School of Management (Business) includes 7 departments: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Data Science and Engineering Management, Service Science and Operations Management, Leadership and Organization Management, Marketing, Finance and Accounting, and Tourism and Hotel Management. The undergraduate program offers three majors: Business Administration, Information Management and Information System, and Accounting. There are 18 core courses to choose from ranging from Political Economics to Innovation Management. There are also over 15 courses taught in English ranging from Econometrics to Strategic Management. You will need to be sure that you are registered as a full time student according to Zhejiang and Rutgers University. It is not possible to take classes as not-for-credit or pass/fail.

Housing and Meals

Zhejiang University provides on-campus housing and dinning for exchange students. A single room in the Zijingang Campus International Students Dormitory (West Campus) will be reserved once the student receives their Admission Notice. Included in the room are: beddings, desk and storage locker, air-conditioning, hot water, bathroom, and wired/wireless Internet access. This resident hall is also equipped with public facilities such as: a kitchen, direct drinking water dispenser, laundromat and student cafeteria.
