Funding Opportunities

Rutgers Global supports a range of funding opportunities annually to full-time Rutgers faculty and staff from all campuses for the purpose of initiating research and new international educational initiatives. These include modest seed grants, curriculum integration, and support for Fulbright applications. Check the eligibility requirements for the individual opportunities.

Rutgers Global Grants

Rutgers Global Grants offers modest seed grants annually to full-time Rutgers faculty from all campuses, including tenured, tenure-track, and clinical faculty for the purpose of initiating research or engagement that fosters international partnerships as well as new international educational initiatives.

Fulbright Scholar Program

Rutgers Global provides services to faculty and scholars who wish to pursue Fulbright Scholar Program opportunities. Sponsored by the Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright Scholar Program offers U.S. faculty and administrators grants to lecture, conduct research, or participate in seminars around the world.

Rutgers Global works with dedicated, globally-active faculty to help deliver and promote high-quality experiences abroad for all Rutgers students. Contact us with ideas for summer or semester courses or for short-term “embedded” programs that are part of an existing on-campus course and let us help you shape a challenging experience for your students.

The Study Abroad Course Equivalency Database is a searchable index of study abroad courses that have been reviewed and approved by Rutgers faculty for equivalent credit at Rutgers. This database offers faculty a resource to begin curriculum advising with any potential study abroad student.

Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights (CGHR) 

CGHR's mission is to understand and prevent genocide and mass atrocity crimes. On the one hand, we grapple with the most pressing 21st-century challenges that give rise to genocide, atrocity crimes, and related interventions. On the other hand, we use a critical lens to rethink assumptions and offer alternatives.

Rutgers University has been designated as the regional center for PASCAL in North America. The Rutgers PASCAL Center has as its main focus STEM learning from early childhood through college and beyond. The Center will offer policy guidance that enhances the probability of educational and labor market success for youth and will draw from faculty and staff expertise in human and social capital development from the various schools and departments across Rutgers University.

Rutgers has supported displaced students and scholars from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Gaza, as well as from other places in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
