Scholarships

Scholarships are a good way to mitigate the costs of a term abroad. In addition to searching for funding for study abroad and international education programs, you may want to consider searching for funding sources that offer awards based on a variety of factors such as financial need, merit, location of study, ethnicity, field of study, volunteer work, and more. You may also want to ask your academic dean's office and major department adviser about possible funding opportunities with which they are familiar. Occasionally there are discretionary funds available at these departments. Other possible sources may exist within local community organizations.

Important Tip: To ensure you get the most comprehensive financial aid package, the first step is to apply for FAFSA by the Rutgers priority filing deadline. This will maximize your eligibility for financial support and give you the best chance at opportunities additional funding.
