Krakow

Krakow is the capital of Poland. It is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Krakow sits by the Vistula River. It's Old Town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. 

Academics

Rutgers University is partnering with the University of Pittsburgh. Students who have completed a full academic year's equivalent of Polish language study are eligible to apply to this abroad program. In Krakow, students pursue intensive proficiency-based language learning in the classroom and while engaged in an extensive excursion program to points of interest in Krakow and its surroundings and travel throughout the regions of Poland. https://www.sli.pitt.edu/polish-abroad

Students participate in an extensive excursion program in and around Krakow and other parts of Poland.

Housing and Meals

Rutgers offers this program through University of Pittsburgh's Summer Language Institute. The SLI coordinates housing for students in Poland.

The above costs are estimations and represent the known out-of-pocket costs students encounter during their time abroad.

Some of these expenses will be paid for prior to going abroad, such as an airline ticket, while some of these expenses, such as meals and personal expenses, will be paid in-country as part of your daily expenses. As you plan, you will need to budget these costs and spend wisely throughout your time abroad.

Scholarships
