Ji-Yeung Jang is the assistant vice president for global affairs at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She oversees global partnerships and strategic initiatives across all four chancellor-led campuses. She works closely with the vice president and executive staff in strategic planning, policy development and implementation.​

Jang has over 15 years’ experience in progressive leadership roles in higher education with in-depth knowledge and experience in developing and implementing global strategies, facilitating strategic communications, cultivating strategic partnerships internally and externally, and successfully developing and managing global programs and initiatives reaching a broad range of stakeholders. She champions promoting collaborations to infuse comprehensive internationalization into the core priorities of university strategic planning, representing the interests of the university globally. She engages with faculty and staff across disciplines and administrative units to support and promote globalization in teaching, research, experiential learning, programming, curriculum development, and alumni relations.​

Prior to joining Rutgers University in 2022, Jang spent 10 years at Ohio University serving in several capacities of increasing responsibility culminating as the Interim Executive Director for Global Affairs. Serving as the senior international officer, she worked closely with senior executive leadership at the university and provided executive oversight to the Office of Global Affairs, the Office of Global Opportunities, and International Student and Faculty Services. ​

Jang earned her Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota. She is fluent in both Korean and English.​
