Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs (GAIA Centers)

Rutgers’ Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs (GAIA Centers) create connections without borders between people, ideas, and resources. Since 2011, the centers have worked to define and attain the university’s internationalization priorities through funding opportunities, educational programs, cross-cultural and local-global events and trips, and services to help advance research and education and engage faculty, students, and staff in global conversations. Rutgers was awarded the 2014 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization as a result of many of these GAIA Centers' opportunities and initiatives:
