Refugees and Migrants

The UN Refugee Agency estimates that there are over 82 million displaced people worldwide. Rutgers faculty and students are engaged with the world migration and refugee crisis in many ways, including in the form of on-campus and study abroad courses, research, special events and workshops, partnerships, and more. Additionally, Rutgers accepts refugee students and scholars and sends students and faculty to work in refugee communities abroad.

Update, October, 2021: Rutgers University is working to support displaced Afghan students and scholars who have been impacted by the crisis in Afghanistan. Our Refugees and Migrants Education and Research Fund provides resources to help the Afghan higher education community. Please click on the link above to give now. Every gift makes a difference.
