World Regions

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, has long-standing and deep relationships with regions around the world. From Asia to Northern America, from the Middle East to the Caribbean and Africa, Rutgers faculty share their knowledge and experience with colleagues and partner institutions in every corner of the globe. The World Regions section profiles academic programs, student opportunities, and faculty expertise as they relate to different regions and countries with which Rutgers has close ties.

The university’s global involvement has not only taken faculty and students around the world, but has brought the world to Rutgers. International partnerships with universities around the globe have helped expand studies such as social, environmental, and linguistic studies at Rutgers. International partnerships have likewise helped bring students and scholars to Rutgers from abroad, thereby furthering the diversity and internationalization of the Rutgers campus.

The World Regions section includes: Africa, Asia & the Pacific, Europe & Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Northern America. Within each region you will find more elaborate descriptions of Rutgers’ relationship with selected countries, as well as listings of university partnerships, opportunities for students, faculty research and expertise, funding opportunities, academic programs, and alumni information.

We hope you will enjoy this trip around the world with Rutgers faculty and students!
