There are exciting ways to learn about the work of the United Nations as part of your academic experience at Rutgers University. Below are two new academic programs that specifically focus on the work of the UN and its’ system. Please review the links for more information about each program and how they concentrate on global issues being addressed at the United Nations.
United Nations Summer Study Program
The Rutgers University United Nations Study Program is an intensive 3-week, 3-credit program that offers a unique opportunity to explore major global issues with experts from Rutgers, the UN, and local NGOs. The program focuses on the core mission of the UN including its pillars of global peace and security, human rights, and development, as well as its role in addressing global problems like climate change and food security. The Rutgers UN Summer Study program is open to both domestic and international students.
MA United Nations Program
The MA United Nations Program is the only program concentrating on UN-related topics in United States. World-class faculty with degrees from top universities teaches the course. This program prepares students for employment in the public and private international policy sectors and offers extensive networking opportunities with the United Nations. It also offers a liberal arts degree with the option of continuing on for a Ph.D. degree.
