Rutgers Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs

Global Education

Service-Learning-WARMRutgers helps expand opportunities for global and international education. Through study, research, and experience abroad, Rutgers offers students options to enhance their global competencies by exploring the wider world.

The Center for Global Education (CGE) at the GAIA Centers offers over 160 study abroad programs in over 50 countries through partnerships with 60 international institutions and provider organizations. Nearly 50 of these partnerships involve exchanges with top tier foreign colleges and universities, so Rutgers hosts more than 100 international exchange students per year.

Students can opt to participate in short-term (two to six weeks), semester-long, or year-long programs. Many of the programs are designed by Rutgers faculty, and internship opportunities are available.

CGE at the GAIA Centers also offers service-learning abroad opportunities, which are intensive, credit-bearing programs that allow students to contribute to their host communities while learning in a new country.

Finally, CGE at the GAIA Centers facilitates scholarships to help make student abroad goals a reality. For more information about study abroad, service-learning, or scholarship opportunities, visit the links below:
