2016 International Research Conference
Advancing International Research Collaborations: Policies and Practice

University leaders of the 21st century face great challenges in developing, conducting, and managing research activities in an efficient, cost-effective manner that are—at the same time—fully compliant with the many regulations that govern the modern research university. International research activities pose additional, specific challenges.

Though the best outcomes almost always emerge from international collaborations, even the most research-active universities like Rutgers lack fully-developed, effective systems and infrastructure. The GAIA Centers will host a conference on international research policy and practice that features and will appeal to: private, corporate, and national funding agencies and foundations; national and international university, government, and industry leaders; research-active scholars and scientists working in the international arena; and research and development officers and grants administrators who facilitate cross-border collaboration.
